Content of tungsten (>95.6%) is the lowest for all thorium tungsten electrode, but the content of thorium oxide is the highest, which is up to 4.20 percent. Application

Because of the element thorium, WT40 thorium tungsten electrode is easier to promote arc, it often used in carbon and acid-resistant stainless steel welding process.
