Silver tungsten electrode has excellent welding and corrosion-resistant properties, and it is widely used for industrial and domestic circuit breaker field. Manufacturing Process
Because the great differences of physical properties between tungsten and metallic silver, whether it is solid or liquid, both od them can not melt each other, it cannot be produced by ordinary casting method. Nowadays, silver tungsten electrode is formed by the powder metallurgy process. There are also many manufacturers to choose the extrusion method. The general process is: mixing the ingredients-compression molding-sintering retentate solution-cold-working.
